Free PlayKIDS

Privacy Policy

Free Play is used by parents to arrange playdates for their children. That makes privacy the whole product, not a page at the bottom of it.

What we collect

Your name, photo, phone number and email. Your children's first names, ages and any notes you choose to add. The windows of availability you share. Your approximate location — only if you allow it, rounded to about one kilometre, and used solely to show weather. The requests and messages you send.

What other families can see

Within your circles

Your name, your photo, your child's first name and age, what you offer when you're hosting, and the windows you've opened.

Only after a playdate is confirmed, and only for that playdate

The host's address, relevant allergy notes, and your phone number.

Never, to anyone

Your full calendar. Your reason for being away. Your private feedback. Your children's last names or schools.

What we never do

We don't sell personal data and we don't show ads. There is no browsable directory of families — another parent can only reach you if they already have your phone number or email. Children never use the app directly, and the data we hold about them is deliberately minimal.

Service providers

We use Supabase for the database and file storage, Resend for email, Twilio for verification texts, Expo for push notifications, and Open-Meteo for weather. Open-Meteo receives only an approximate location, never an identity.

Children's data

Accounts belong to adults. A child is a profile entry created and controlled by their parent or legal guardian, who can edit or delete it at any time. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children.

Your controls

You can delete your account and all of your family's data at any time from Profile → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and permanent — we cannot restore it afterwards.
